Furniture For Harley Davidson Insurance
In 2011, the design firm responsible for the Harley-Davidson/Progressive Insurance booth at the 12-city International Motorcycle Shows approached us with a unique request: could we adapt our bicycle furniture design process to motorcycles and complete the project before the first show in just two months? After considering the challenge, I agreed and began the work.
The initial step involved reaching out to a motorcycle collector friend to acquire catalogs for inspiration. Following that, I dedicated time to watching all seven seasons of "American Chopper," focusing on the process of custom motorcycle creation. While doing this, I reviewed catalogs and developed sketches. To minimize distractions, I opted to fast forward through the show's familial drama, concentrating solely on the design aspects.
In the end, we met the deadline, and the first eight pieces of motorcycle furniture we crafted were showcased in the booth. The response was overwhelmingly positive, marking a successful integration of our bicycle-inspired furniture into the motorcycle culture.
